Poster: ORIGINAL Rolling Stones Poster - 1976 European Tour - Excellent

Always one of The Stones best tour posters - with its surreal/comic-strip imagery and vivid colours thanks to the glowing Northern Lights halo-effects around a the group shot from Hiro's original photo shoot for the cover of 'Black & Blue' - which was released earlier that same year.

Acquired in around 1999-2000 and stored carefully, rolled - in a poster tube and in cool, dry, dark, clean conditions ever-since.

N.B. Presumably like others, I was confused by the plethora of sizes for this poster - all of which claimed to be original. And my assumption is it came in 2 sizes - possibly one of which was also available at the venues (it was quite a small tour by modern standards - and in much smaller venues).

However, I believe this is an original - and it certainly has the 'feel-patina-smell' & paper stock for a poster of the period. And the printer's lettering details also look 'right': It's certainly a nice example from the height of The Stones' purple period - and were yet to be challenged by the rising tide - bringing in a New Wave 🤦‍♂️

It's a good size for many locations & would look very good framed - requiring no backing/restoration.

In the Mid-90s I collected Vintage Movie Posters: All being offered here have been carefully stored, in poster tubes in cool, dry clean conditions since. None are reproductions.
