Original 1st Press UK LP released in 1958 on the Gold & Green Columbia Label. Cat: 33SX1084. This album is in MONO. Comes in full gloss cover with cutaway back flaps.

Over the next few weeks I will be listing some wonderful Jazz titles from a recently acquired Jazz collection. The original owner passed away back in 1985 and his sister decided to hold onto them for sentimental reasons. She had not touched or played them since then (1985!!). The records are in stunning condition for their age many, apart from a few light age spots on the covers, look like they walked off the shelf yesterday. I hope you enjoy viewing and possibly purchasing these wonderful jazz vinyl artifacts as much as i have in preparing them for sale and listening to them!!

Count Basie was among the most important bandleaders of the swing era. With the exception of a brief period in the early '50s, he led a big band from 1935 until his death almost 50 years later, and the band continued to perform after he died. Arrangements by Neal Hefti.

Tracks: The kid from red bank/ Duet/ After supper/ Flight of the food birds/ Double-O/ Teddy the toad/ Whirly-bird/ Midnite blue/ Spanky/ Fantail/ Lil’ darlin’.

There are a few very light spindle marks on labels. Record is stunning and plays in Near Mint condition. Full gloss cover with cutaway back flaps has a small sticker on back top right and a few very faint age spots and is in Excellent condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.

Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.

Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
