Concert Ticket: THE DOORS MIAMI 1969 DINNER KEY AUDITORIUM TICKET STUB – INFAMOUS CONCERT
On March 1, 1969, The Doors performed at the Dinner Key Auditorium in Miami, Florida—a concert that would become one of the most notorious events in rock history. The venue, a converted seaplane hangar, was overcrowded with approximately 12,000 fans in a space designed for fewer attendees. Jim Morrison arrived late and visibly intoxicated, leading to a chaotic performance where he reportedly taunted the audience and engaged in provocative behavior. The aftermath included Morrison’s arrest on charges of indecent exposure and public profanity, resulting in a conviction that was later appealed.
This ticket stub from that infamous night is a rare piece of rock memorabilia, capturing a pivotal moment in The Doors’ legacy and the cultural turbulence of the late 1960s. Given the historical significance of the event and the limited number of surviving artifacts, this stub is a valuable collectible for fans and historians alike.
