Vinyl: KELLY JONES ( STEREOPHONICS ) - Only The Names Have Been Changed LTD LP unplayed

A rare chance to pick up a limited edition (of only 500 copies) of the first solo album by the Stereophonics frontman.

The good news: The vinyl is unplayed, never even removed it from the inner sleeve. I bought it and shelved it.

The bad news: it is exactly what I bought, a copy with a 12cm scratch on the front cover. It was buying this or never see one again. So I bought it. See the photos: it looks like something sharp edged a groove in the front cover through careless handling. It hasn't scratched through, it's a large groove (like running a blunt pen over soft cardboard). There are a couple more tiny dents on the right bottom half, but they are minor and mostly stand out because the rest of the cover is so good. The cover edges remain in excellent crisp condition with a miniscule amount of white fraying on the corners. Hardly any, just check the photos (part of the description). It shows a hint of ringwear, which shows almost better on the photo than in reall ife. I took the inners out for a photo, the vinyl is left untouched inside.

It is pretty much still as crisp as the day it went on sale, the scratch is annoying, but the record is super rare. I am pricing it with the scratch in mind. I suspect ther are not many of these left in circulatuion in this overall condition, even with the damaged cover. Again: the vinyl itself is mint and unplayed.

Since it has been sitting on my shelf since 2007, it probably is time to make someone else's day and give it a more deserving home.

I hate poorly packed vinyl that picked up damage en route as much as every vinyl lover. It will be carefully packed in sturdy cardboard, so it should arrive in the condition it was sent. Just check my feedback.
