Reel-to-reel: MILES DAVIS Kind of Blue 7 1/2 IPS Reel to Reel Tape 4 Track CQ 379 Columbia

The following is a rare and very desirable 4 Track Stereo tape of Miles Davis - My Kind of Blue released in 1958. This is the first release of this tape.

Overall in Very Good condition. The tape has not been tested and is being sold as is as described. Please bid accordingly.

Condition: The case has minimal wear on the front and back cover (the Front has some light white marks on the edges and corners, and the back shows normal shelf wear). There is one small tear on the black cover tape at the thumb insert to open the case. The paper insert is in very good condition with slight folding on the front edge. The 4 Track tape is clean and free of any cracks or damage. The silver title label is clean and complete. The 1/4" tape has been used, at one time it had a white Columbia leader with blue title text. This has been removed by the previous owner. The tape has some waviness for the first few feet but gets better and straightens out.

This issue has music equivalent to CS 8163 vinyl album. The back cover is a late fifties / early sixties pastiche of 4 other albums available at the time. This one has ads for the following 4 musical soundtrack albums:
1 Rex Harrison and Julie Andrews - My Fair Lady in the top left corner TOB 43 / OQ 310.
2 Richard Burton and Julie Andrews - Camelot soundtrack, at top right corner TOB 100 / OQ 344.
3 Mary Martin - Sound of Music soundtrack, at lower left corner TOB 58 / OQ 311.
4 Elizabeth Seal and Keith Michell - Irma La Douce, at lower right corner OQ 353.
All are advertised with both 2-track and 4-track issue numbers where applicable.
