Picked up this gem in Japan. I have not seen any of these in the USA or anywhere else, so it may be a promo to assess the Japanese market's demand for high resolution surround sound. Not sure how rare these are, so bidding started at cost to let buyers decide what they're worth.
This Blu-Ray disk has DTS HD Master Audio (Blu-Ray Audio) for Revolver in 24-96 hi resolution, 7.1 surround sound. This is Hi Resolution AUDIO ONLY, it is NOT a movie. You need a Blu-Ray player to play this, it will not play on a DVD or CD player.
There are 3 hi resolution audio playback options available:
DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 channel Surround (24bit-96KHz)
DTS-HD Master Audio Stereo (24bit-192KHz)
DTS-HD Master Audio Mono (24bit-192KHz)
The beauty of the Beatles' harmonies, and the genius of George Martin's production, really shine through in surround sound. Things that were previously "buried in the mix" become amazingly clear. Yellow Submarine and Here There and Everywhere are incredible in surround. Like the layers of an onion, there is more complexity to these tracks than most of us ever realized.
