Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of one of the most popular albums of all time. Bob Marley's 'Exodus' was originally released on Friday 3rd June 1977. The deadlocked Jamaican master recorded the 'Exodus' album in exile in the UK, having escaped a recent assassination attempt in Jamaica.
The album was a recording of extraordinary creative maturity and one which resonated with audiences around the world. In the UK alone it stayed on the chart for 56 consecutive weeks and birthed 3 massive hit singles. Thanks largely to this album, Bob Marley was established as the Third World's first superstar, a legacy that survives thirty years after the album's release.
This film captures Marley and his classic Wailers line-up performing the album and his other hits live at London's The Rainbow in 1977.
