Poster: Simple Minds Genuine Hacienda Fac 51 gig poster July 1982 Factory Records

Unlike a lot ofHacienda/ Fac 51 items around at the moment, this is a GENUINE gig poster thatwas up on the wall of the Hacienda Club. It’s in the classic Hacienda style ofthe time - in terms of shape,colour and lettering. It just screams ‘Hacienda’ at you. Miss it and it’s gone!

This isfantastic item. At 77cm wide by 38 high, this is a nice size – not too big, nottoo small – and would look great framed on the wall.

At about thistime Simple Minds had recently charted with “Promised You A Miracle” and wouldsoon release ‘Glittering Prize” in the run up to the “Big Gold Dream” LP. Aswell as being a poster for a gig by band at the top of their game, the alsoshows off the simple but distinctive graphic styling used by Factory Recordsand the Hacienda.

As you mustexpect for an item of this age and recovered from a busy nightclub, this posterhas a few staple/ pin marks (it was pinned to the wall at the Hacienda) andsome minor creases and blemishes but I really do believe these just go totransport you back to 1982 in the way that reproduction posters cannot. Thereare also a few very faint Blutak marks from where it was stuck on my wall. Pleasesee photos.
