| This is a very rare framed 41" x 56" poster featuring The Fabulous James Brown and His 18 Piece Band. The size with the frame is 48" x 64 1/2" and there is nothing written around the edges as in a date or company name. This is a very unusual & larger than most poster and we aren't sure if this is a subway or venue poster. We have tried to find another one on ebay or the internet with no luck. It is made of paper similiar to a movie poster and not cardboard. It was professionaly framed with acid free backing and uv resistant plexiglass. This is all in a nice light colored solid wood frame. This was in one of our customers collection for many years. He was moving and we bought several things from him. We have seen this image on another much smaller venue poster and it was from the early to mid 1960's. Condition is very good and shows some use. This has fold creases in 4 equal sections. The size from the center crease to the bottom and the center crease to the top are equal. There are some pinholes on each corner. There is a 1 1/2" split at the top center on the fold. There is a 1/2" x 3/4" piece torn and missing from the top left corner. There is a 1 1/4" x 1" piece torn and missing from the edge near the bottom left corner. There is a 3/4" x 1/4" piece torn and missing on the bottom right corner. There is a small hole in the very center where the creases meet. There are a few stain spots that do not detract very much from the intire poster. This may be the rarest James Brown poster you will ever find! If anyone has more information on this please let us know. This is a very nice eye catching poster to add to your collection! Please see 12 photos!
