DVD: Coil Colour Sound Oblivion DVD Wooden Box Artist Proof Unused Throbbing Gristle
Listed for your pleasure today is an Artist Proof Edition of Colour Sound Oblivion.
This box was Massimo Villani's, included in the photo's is a redacted copy of the shipping note to me from Massimo.
The CSO box comes in its original cardboard box that it was shipped from Thailand in.
This is truly a unique artefact, and yes I know that there must be other Artist Proof boxes out there but this is the only AP19 and the first one that I have ever seen on eBay.
The box is fully complete and intact. It has been stored in the original box since the day I received it.
Postage rates for the UK are £30.00 which is Special Delivery signed for track and trace insured up to £2,500... the category selected will not let me add this price but will be £30 not £9.50 which is the maximum eBay will let me put.
Overseas rates for shipping are £50.00 which is tracked up to leaving the UK and signed for at the other end. The insurance limit for this is £250. If you want a higher level of insurance, please let me know before paying so that I can get you a quote.
If you use the Buy It Now option in the listing, I will pay fully insured worldwide shipping!

The discs come in a wooden box, each with its own number on the inside of the lid. Each disc comes in a basic cardboard sleeve, listing details of the performance's place, date, "feeling" and some technical details. No songs are listed, except on The Coil Reconstruction Kit.
The discs are packaged in four cloth bags identifying the band's different stage outfits, each representing a specific live-incarnation of the band.
Besides the discs, the box contains a fifteen-page booklet, the program to John Balance's funeral ceremony and a large collection of 6" x 4" postcards, mainly of photo's taken on tour.
An 'Advance Patrons Edition' of 200 copies, intended to help finance the production, was announced in November 2009. Buyers of this edition received a patronage certificate, but the actual boxes are identical to those that were ordered later (although it seems that the first 200 have a red plastic tag bearing the copy number rather than a blue one in the 'Advance Edition').
Buyers if the initial editions had the opportunity to have Peter Christopherson write a dedication card with a text of their own choice, which was included in their copy of the box.
An additional 'Open Edition' was made available in August 2010. This edition omits the four costume fabric bags for the DVD's, and includes an additional face cloth, embroidered in white with Coil's final lyric "IT JUST IS...", as well as a bar of fragrant handmade soap, in cream suffused with blood red, hand stamped with the words "IT'S IN MY BLOOD...". Instead of the red or blue plastic number-tag, the Open Edition has a round mirror with the letters CSO on the inside of the box' lid.
