And for the serious Rod Stewart and The Faces collector, I am listing my early 1975 Tour Program and ticket stub. This was the transition time in between The Faces success and when Rod Stewart's solo career was taking off. The programs before this one mentioned the band, The Faces on the cover. This 9 1/2" x 7" black and white program I am auctioning was the first program that mentioned Rod Stewart on the cover. This is a truly rare bird. Later in 1975, the more common Atlantic Crossing Tour program with Rod Stewart's name featured above The Faces on the cover was sold at concert venues.
The ticket stub is for the Feb 20th, 1975 concert in Indianapolis, Indiana. The opening band that night was a little known band from Canada called RUSH. Since I was already a fan of Rush and Faces, this was a definite concert to attend. It was fantastic to see and hear Rush and Rod Stewart at the beginning of their respective careers.
