Wow. Where to begin. This is an original promo poster for Murmur, something only stores and deejays got. It hung in an indie record shop where I worked, The Record Exchange in Roanoke, VA. Eventually, I took it home.
As of posting, there is no other example of this poster on eBay. I found it for sale at a few auction sites who want unbelievable prices for it in far worse condition. The poster that is just a straight-up reproduction of the album cover art is very common. THIS IS NOT IT.
Condition: Never folded. Always rolled. It was hung, as I say above, in the record store. There is one tiny thumbtack hole and one thin piece of clear tape in each corner. One corner has been bent. No tears! As you might expect there are light wrinkles. If mounted properly you'd never see these. It is in truly outstanding condition.
Matte finish, not glossy. Dimensions: 3' tall x 2' wide.
As you can see from the first photo the design incorporates the cover art, but about a fourth of poster's design is individual photos of the band. Along the bottom margin-from left to right-The famous IRS logo, other info including the date (1983)-and the 6.98 list price.
The final two photos show minor damage. Next to last photo shows the type of wrinkling here and there. The final photo shows the fold from one of the corners.
