Great sound and playing Strange Days by The Doors at 7 & 1/2 IPS, 4 track tape. The tape, and reel, look to be in great shape.

HOWEVER the box, particularly the rear side, show clear signs of aging with minor scratches and some discoloration of the paper. No mold in sight.

This reel comes from my late grandfathers collection, who throughout the 1960-70s was employed as a sound engineer. And it appears to be sourced from a master tape he had worked with.

I have personally play tested and listened to this tape completely and deemed it to be without flaws. The sound quality of the music is great, classic analog warmth. (There’s some tape hiss as with any reel to reel tape.)
