GENERAL INFORMATION

Live Aid was a multi-venue benefit concert held on Saturday 13 July 1985, as a music-based fundraising initiative organised by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, bringing famine in Africa to world attention. Billed as the "global jukebox", Live Aid was held simultaneously at Wembley Stadium in London, attended by 72,000 people, and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia, attended by 89,484 people.

On the same day, concerts inspired by the initiative were held in other countries, such as the Soviet Union, Canada, Japan, Yugoslavia, Austria, Australia and West Germany. It was one of the largest satellite link-ups and television broadcasts of all time; an estimated audience of 1.9 billion, in 150 nations, watched the live broadcast, nearly 40 percent of the world population.

This ticket, one of only 72,000 issued, is now a rare piece of music memorabilia as no doubt far fewer remain in existence +/or in this condition …truly a collectors item!

CONDITION

The ticket has been carefully stored for a number of years, so I would say is in very good condition overall, with no evident folds, tears or marks. But opinion counts, so please study all photos closely to judge for yourself before bidding, as these are of the of the item you will receive.

POST & PACKING

The ticket will be sent secured in a strong card protected envelope by Royal Mail 1st Class, signed for with tracking provided.
