Leonard Bernstein's MASS was written to celebrate the opening of the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and had its premiere on September 8, 1971. It includes lyrics by the composer and Stephen Schwartz. The premiere included Alan Titus singing the role of the Celebrant. This is the program from that event. It has both black/white and color photos on many of its 32 pages. It is in excellent condition with only the mildest of general wear. There are no loose or torn pages. There is very light fading on the white portion of the back cover (see final photo).
