Poster: Cary Audio CAD-300SE (300B/572-3) Mono (1) Amp - Serviced - Working Perfectly!

This Cary Audio CAD-300SE "Mono" single channel amplifier is a high-end tube amplifier designed for audiophiles seeking high-quality sound performance. This amp is working perfectly and has recently been serviced by a Cary Audio technician.

This older CAD-300SE has the switch on top to control the filament voltage to be able to use either the 300B tube or a Svetlana 572-3 triode output tube. The amp does not have a face plate, name plate or serial number on it. It has been completely restored by a Cary Audio tech.

This class A amplifier outputs about 8 watts with a 300B and about 10 watts with the Svetlana 572-3 and is in extremely good condition performance wise. The Sylvania 6SL7GT and US Navy 5U4G tubes supplied are very good but it is unknown how long the 300b will last will need a replacement.

Some of the capacitors have been replaced and the amp has been fully serviced. It also has an upgrade of a choke in the B+ high voltage supply to the 6SL7 as well as some extra capacitance there for a very clean, quite sound quality.

The 3 switches were just replaced as well as the filament supply bridge rectifier. It also has the Jensen copper foil & oil coupling capacitor and KimberKap polypropylene bypass caps on the electrolytic caps.

This amp is in very good condition although it is missing a couple of chassis pem-nuts for the bottom plate screws and does have some scratches, smudges and discoloring on the chassis, etc as is common for its age. These pem-nuts can be replaced if you can find and order them.
