Vinyl: 700+ 12" vinyl record collection - dance, house, acid, techno, rave, old skool,

We have for sale a 700+ 12" vinyl record collection spanning mostly the mid-1980s to the late 1990s and focusing on the house, acid, techno, rave, “old skool” and associated musical subgenres.

The collection appears to have belonged to a Sussex-based DJ, and it clearly took well over a decade to amass. There are quite a lot of rarities that could have only been acquired at the time by a professional operating in the music industry. This includes a lot of first releases and test pressings by small and short-lived UK labels, as well as international releases (particularly sought-after US records emanating from the Chicago and Detroit scene from the late 1980s onwards), and even a handwritten letter from Cowboy Records! The records had at some point been exposed to damp, so in most cases (but not all) the condition of the sleeves is not great. The records themselves need a good clean, and although we did not inspect each of them individually, the overwhelming majority appears to be in a reasonable condition, with many of them being very good and just in need of being professionally cleaned.

We have identified at least 180 records which sell on the lowest end between £5-£10 minimum. There are around 80 records which are clearly rarer and/or highly desirable whose value starts at a minimum of £25 and goes up to £100.

We would like to sell the entire collection in bulk, so would be open to a fair offer.
