This de luxe gatefold double LP on 180g vinyl is the expanded, remixed and remastered edition of the original 'Mingus Dynasty' album produced by Teo Macero at Columbia. The expanded version was prepared for release by Michael Cuscuna and was offered for the first time on vinyl by Pure Pleasure in this sought-after 2007 issue, which is now out of print. It includes the full-length, unedited studio takes of three numbers, 'Song With Orange', 'Gunslinging Bird' and 'Things Ain't What They Used To Be', plus a further bonus track , 'Strollin'', which was not on the original LP at all.
