ORIGINAL 1967 HANDBILL / FLYER THE DOORS, JEFFERSON AIRPLANE, & MORE—VINTAGE
Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, Grassroots, Country Joe & Fish, Iron Butterfly and others…..July 15 & 16, 1967. Devonshire Meadows, near LA. I was at this event, and recently found this flyer in a shoe box. Guaranteed original, I have had it in my possession for the last 50 years. Several items, though the only important thing is the flyer. Measures 8 inches by 5 inches. Printed on two sides. See the picture of the front. The back of the flyer has a map of the location of the concert. It was an outdoor event, I remember sitting on hay bales in the dirt listening to the groups. Other items I found, that might help authenticate: A newspaper clipping announcing the Jefferson Airplane concert. A photo from the newspaper showing the Jefferson Airplane and indicating the concert. Also, a full page from the Los Angeles Times. One photo shows the calendar announcing the concert, I flipped the page over so you can see the date from the Los Angeles Times (other photo). Finally, I took some black and white pics there, with my InstaMatic (hell it was 1967, I was 13 years old, what do you want). I don’t know who is on the “stage”, it very well could be Doors or Jefferson Airplane.
All this is included. The newspapers are obviously yellowed. The Concert Handbill is slightly yellowed on the back, but the front, as you can see is in great shape.
