Here's a super nice unused BEATLES Shea Stadium ticket from New York City on August 15th, 1965.
Wow!! Here you have one of the rarest and most desirable tickets on the planet. Most unused Beatles tickets are very much treasured, but some like this one even more so, as they are almost impossible to find. This was a sold out show, so finding unused tickets is extremely difficult!! This was a special show as it was in NYC and because they created a sell-out all time record in both attendance and gross revenue for a single act. It wasn't until 1973 that Led Zeppelin broke that record in Tampa.
Basically, except for a few exceptions, it's only individual people that did not attend that left unused tickets. So there are VERY FEW of these out there, hence why the value is high. Even over the course of a year or two of actively looking on Ebay, you probably won't see another unused '65 Shea. That goes for other 1965 shows as well, as many were sold out. But only at very rare times do these surface here on Ebay or a couple other major auction sites. An educated guess of remaining 1965 Shea unused tickets is probably less than a few hundred, if that. Think about it, who would waste a chance to see the world's most popular band during their frenzied peak?! Not many!!! Even the 1965 Shea stubs are a rarity.
If you want to find out more about the attendance of all The Beatles concerts, go to . Don't confuse this ticket with an unused 1966 Shea Stadium concert ticket, as that show had 11,000 unsold tickets and the promoter (Sid Bernstein) was smart and kept most or all of them. He would later and sell them off in the 80's & 90's. So although you don't see many out there, the 66 tickets are much more common.
So, the ticket is in really nice condition with almost no handling wear but it does have a little abrasion right on top of the "L" in Beatles, some discoloration and a few very slight spider web stress marks (not really creases). What a super nice specimen! Purchase with confidence as I only deal in original vintage items, guaranteed authentic.

Just after 9 p.m. on Aug. 15, 1965, the Beatles stood on a stage just off second base at Shea Stadium, and obliterated any sense of what the words "rock concert" meant.
Here are some fun, mind-boggling, I-was-born-in-the-90s-and-will-never-truly-know-what-Beatlemania-was-like facts about the show:
With 55,000 fans in attendance and more than $300,000 made, it was said to be the largest concert ever at the time. It seems laughable now, but there were doubts that the Beatles would be able to fill the Mets' ballpark -- "We don't play to empty seats," the Beatles' manager, Brian Epstein, had said when the show was first booked, according to the NY Daily News. But that was … not a problem. The Mets were in the middle of a West Coast road trip that ran from Aug. 10-18, and Shea Stadium was filled to the brim. People were crawling over the outfield fence to get in.
