On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Simon & Garkfunkel called "Parsley, Sage, Rosemary & Thyme" and is an ORIGINAL 1966 UK STEREO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press 'Textured' CBS label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THIS IS ONE OF SIMON & GARFUNKEL'S RAREST LPs EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!! JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!! BACK IN 1966 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED IN THE UK - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS!!!! AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE, AND IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!! HOWEVER, THERE ARE 2 LITTLE KNOWN FACTS ABOUT THIS LP - THAT ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE!!!! FIRSTLY - CONTARY TO POPULAR BELIEF, THIS LP COMPLETELY FLOPPED ON RELEASE IN THE UK, AND NEVER MADE THE CHARTS AT ALL!!!! IT SOLD TERRIBLY, AND IN FACT, IT DIDNT HIT THE UK CHARTS UNTIL MUCH LATER ON (IN 1968!)!!!! SO WHILST LATER PRESSINGS ARE EASILY FOUND - 100% GENIUNE UK 1ST PRESSINGS ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE!!!! AND SECONDLY THIS LP REALLY IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - WITH SOME INCREDIBLE DIFFERENCES WHICH ALL LATER COPIES NEVER HAD!!!! AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!! AMAZINGLY, THIS LP HAS A FLIPBACK LAMINATED COVER (LATER ONES DONT - THIS WAS DROPPED IN LATE 1967!), A1/B1 STEREO MATRIXES (LATER ONES DONT!), A 'SQUARE' CBS ADVERTISING INNER SLEEVE (LATER ONES FROM 1967 ONWARDS DONT!), A RED PRINTED 'STEREO' ON THE COVER BACK (LATER ONES HAD 'STEREO' STICKERS INSTEAD!), AND 'TEXTURED' ORANGE CBS LABELS WITH '33' LABEL TEXT (AGAIN, LATER ONES FROM 1967 ONWARDS DONT!)!!!! ONLY A TINY HANDFUL OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS ONLY, WERE EVER PRESSED LIKE THIS - BEFORE THE FLIPBACK LAMINATED COVER WAS DROPPED (AND CHANGED TO A NON-FLIPBACK COVER INSTEAD!) THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL CBS UK 1st Pressing from 1966 and is in SUPERB condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is SBPG 62860 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Textured' CBS label (see picture) and is a UK STEREO 1st Pressing!!!!
The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is in SUPERB condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND LOOKS SUPERB!!!! It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!! The record must grade Excellent+ if not better!!!! SUPERB RECORD!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press CBS 'Square' inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Dawson Rossiter' Flipback Laminated STEREO Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), VERY shiny laminate, NO splits, only some very VERY minor evidence of 'tipping in' to a couple of the corner tips, NO annotations, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!! Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, only 2 or 3 TINY 'age spots', NO yellowing, NO ringwear, NO rubbing, and NO writing!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!! BRILLIANT COVER!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS (ESPECIALLY AS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
