Up for auction is an original 1967 concert poster for a concert featuring the Grateful Dead
and the Quicksilver Messenger Service.
The concert was held at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco on January 27, 28, 1967.
A Family Dog Production, FD-045
The poster is 13 7/8" by 20 1/16" in size.
The poster was designed by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley.
This is the FIRST PRINTING of the poster, before the concert. Rich dark gold background.
This poster is in excellent/almost like new condition. It is very clean and attractive, there are NO pin holes,
The poster has a very small edge tear and a touch of top edge corner wear.
The poster is better than what my photos can show. The poster has been rolled up for many years.
In order to take photographs I needed to lay a clear piece of acetate over the poster. So photos show
some glare.
The poster will be shipped rolled up in a priority mail tube, with added protection.
This poster comes from the estate of a Santa Cruz musician. He loved and collected vintage rock
