This is a gorgeous US first press, promo copy of the Deep Purple masterpiece "Machine Head", featuring "Smoke On The Water". Promo copies on Warner Bros. for a short time around 1972 and again around 1976 were issued with stock labels and only identifiable by the pink promo sticker as you can see on the back. White labels were not used. Two other huge examples of this are Neil Young "Harvest" and Fleetwood Mac "Rumours". Even though they only had the promo stickers, they are often still very hard to find, and especially in this condition.

I don't think the album had ever been played before I cleaned, vacuumed and played it twice. The disc is absolutely Near Mint and plays perfectly, and has beautiful clean labels. The jacket has no splitting that I can see, only minor wear on the front or back and light corner bumps. I would rate it VG+ but it is also very close to NM. Also included is the original generic inner sleeve and foldout lyric insert.
