Leather shirt, Medium size, owned and worn by former Velvet Underground and solo artist, Lou Reed (1942-2013). Signature on lining reading "Lou Reed '97 NYC'. Manufactured/sold by Leatherman, 111 Christopher St, New York, NY 10014, USA.
The shirt was auctioned on the Terry Wogan show on BBC2 Radio, England in 1997 in support of the 'Children in Need' charity. The buyer will receive the authentication letter/fax (pictured) from Sister Ray Enterprises and the compliments slip from the BBC made out to my late mother (who won the auction). I do not know the price she paid. The letter/fax is dated Nov 18, 1997.
