Poster: Atlanta Pop Festival 1969 1st State AOR CARDBOARD Poster

Original 1st printing 28 x 22&1/8" cardboard concert/event poster for the 7/4-5/1969 Atlanta International Pop Festival, held at Atlanta International Raceway, just outside of Hampton, GA.

Art by Lance Bragg, image is featured in the Art of Rock on page 391 (plate 4.183).

Poster lists festival participants Chuck Berry, Al Kooper, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Canned Heat, Chicago Transit Authority, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Dave Brubeck and Gerry Mulligan, Delaney & Bonnie and Friends, Ian & Sylvia, Tommy James & the Shondells, Janis Joplin, Johnny Winter, Joe Cocker, Led Zeppelin, Pacific Gas & Electric, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Johnny Rivers, Spirit, Staple Singers , Sweetwater, Booker T. & the MG's, Ten Wheel Drive and "extra special guest attraction" (it was Grand Funk Railroad).

Thick cardboard stock poster is in very good to excellent (B/B+ to B+) condition; a few scattered light surface scratches, an approximately 12" diagonal bend going from the "d" of "World" (just below "Pop") to just above the "4" in the lower margin, a couple of small cracks/thin bends just above "Atlanta" and a tiny bump in he top right corner, otherwise fine.

An overall FANTASTIC-looking example of the hard-to-find cardboard 1st edition of the '69 Atlanta Pop poster.
