BOX IS IN GREAT SHAPE TOO. *THE WRAP HAS THE RARE LARGE PRICE STICKER WITH THE 8 TRACK APPLE CATALOG NUMBER PRINTED ON IT!* (He's an informative brief story about this box set and other format box sets of the same title including the LP and cassette versions. Years ago, in the early 1970s, when Apple/Capitol realized they had a surplus of unsold LP, 8 track and cassette version sealed Wedding Album box sets, they were initially going to send them to the normal cut-out distributors and sell them cheap in the record stores as is the usual process for unsold older inventory. However, John and Yoko didn't want 'their' beloved title to end up that way, so they took them themselves and warehoused them for several years until shortly after the untimely passing of John. At that time, Yoko authorized the sale of these box sets in all formats to select distributors around the country. There were 7" items among the lot as well back then like the Cold Turkey, Give Peace A Chance and Instant Karma picture sleeves and 45s. This was the early 1980s and for a while, all were around and available. Fast forward over 40 years to today and they are now getting harder and harder to find again!) *THIS PARTICULAR BOX SET HAS THE ORIGINAL SIGNED COA FROM LELANDS (Signed by Josh Leland) STATING THIS BOX WAS PART OF THAT INVENTORY AND WAS SOLD TO NOTED LONG TIME COLLECTOR, CLIFF YAMASAKI. Cliff was one of the dealers who purchased a good part of the quantity back in the early 1980s. The COA states that this and many others out there were owned by John Lennon. And that it is true. Yoko was owner as well of course. The original signed COA goes with this box set! It nicely details the history of how these came about.
