Vinyl: MUDDY WATERS Folk Singer MFSL MoFi UltraDisc One-Step 180g 45rpm Vinyl

This, like most of the Mobile Fidelity albums I’m selling, has been played 3 to 5 times at most. I collected these but seldom listened to them at home. I had a job which kept me on the road most of the time. I bought the records and played them just to make sure they were in perfect condition. Later I played the record again to make a digital copy, so I could load it on my iPhone to play it on my car stereo when on the road. I played it again just before listing it on eBay to confirm it was still in good condition. I may have played it once or twice more I just can’t remember. I had CD of this record that I played regularly. The record looks like new. There are no pops or clicks. What surface noise there is is very faint and only on some songs. The record has been in a clear plastic slip cover ever since I first purchased it. (the plastic slip cover is included in the sale) the album comes with the original “rice paper” record cover an a 2nd cardboard inside record cover.

The record itself is in excellent condition. The album cover is in like new condition.

I am retired and my hearing is not what it use to be, so I've been selling off many of my "better" records. I sold a bunch of MFSL records last spring (I encourage you to read my feedback from these sales) and had though I had sold them all of my MFSL's. But recently I came across a box of records labeled 2-15-2001. It was still sealed with packing tape. And amount the various records was several MFSL (Muddy waters "Folk Singer", Cream's "Wheels of Fire" and Beatles "The Beatles" or as it is better known "The White Album" I am currently listing all of them.

This album should be in your collection if you are into the blues. In 1963, when this record was recorded, Muddy Waters was quite well known. But he was known for electric "Chicago Blues" stylings. In 1963 he was approached by a record producer to make a record and Muddy said yes but only if he could to all acoustic record, playing in the style he had when he started out. So that's what this is. Muddy waters on acoustic 6 string guitar, and a few other musicians you more than likely know. Willie Dixon on upright acoustic bass , a young Buddy Guy on acoustic 6 string guitar and Clifton James on drums. I don't believe there was any reverb or any other studio tricks applied to the recording. You can hear the studio's own reverbent field. So what you have is very talented blues musicians, playing traditional blues on traditional instruments. Turn down the lights close your eyes and it sounds like you are sitting up front at a really good blues club or bar.
