Basically a precursor to the highly successful ABBA Gold compilation released a decade later, The Singles: The First Ten Years showcases the Swedish supergroup at their best.
The only real disappointment is the US promo edit of their 1977 hit 'The Name of the Game' included here (3:58 instead of the full length 4:51). A minor gripe but of course there are many other ways I can listen to that song fully anyway!
In hindsight, it's difficult not to like ABBA and their fantastic songs; they will in no doubt continue to be adored for many more years to come!
