The Big Gundown Soundtrack Mint Sealed USA LP Ennio Morricone La Resa Dei Conti

The Big Gundown Soundtrack Sealed USA LP Morricone Not Re-issue.Conducted by Bruno Nicolai.

One of the best scores from the Italian Western boom in the mid sixties. Sampled by Tarantino for his movies and claimed to be one of his favourite films that heavily influenced his directional style.

Here we have the original US UAS 5190 release on United Artists Records. The orange and plumb coloured label and not the later so called cheapo collectors special edition LA series cream and brown label.

This copy is perfectly sealed with no cover creases and the faintest of corner dinks in two places where the LP is inserted. Loads available on eBay at the moment but this is a rare SEALED copy from 1968 and I have included in the last 4 photos shots of my opened copy to verify the LP labels and the type of inner sleeve you can expect with the best UA inner sleeve (3D design imitation) artwork in my opinion.

The later re-issue LA series followed just before United Artists went bust which had questionable quality control often suffered with above average surface noise. This LA series had hype stickers claiming to be for collectors but were not really ''limited'' being released in large quantities and most Big Gundown's I have seen were quickly deleted bearing hole punches or diagonal side cuts. It was a merchandising ploy to re-release the United Artists back catalogue and the pressings on average were not the best. If any of you ever had difficulty buying a decent copy of ''Navajo Joe'', ''Burn'', or ''Duck you Sucker'' released in the LA series, you will know what l mean.

Conducted by Bruno Nicolai who along with Allesandroni and his chorus added so much in the early years to the Spaghetti Western trademark sound. This ‘Trio’ produced the best orchestrations from the genre and are not not to be underestimated in providing input into Morricones initial success!

I bought several of this first pressing from America in a bulk buy of soundtracks as l wanted this release to sit along side the UK blue/silver version. If you want a decent copy of this issue you can now avoid any unforeseen import duty and handling fees as it lives in the UK

I will post with heavy duty mailer

I will combine postage and send any multiple wins (unlimited) at the price of one LP £4.69 Royal Mail 2nd Class Signed for.
