PLEASE READ THROUGH DETAILS BELOW BEFORE PURCHASE AND FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THE GOLDMINE RECORD GRADING SCALE BRIEFLY DESCRIBED BELOW! I HAVE ADDED 12 PHOTOS FOR YOU TO SEE THE CONDITION OF THESE 2 ABBA GREATEST HITS ALBUMS! 12". 4 LPs. Going through the albums one by one, here are the details: Greatest Hits - 1976 - Atlantic SD 19114 - Gatefold jacket has its original shrink and so jacket has never been unfolded; shrink is very torn though. Stickers on shrink. Jacket has some dog-ears, edge wear. Worst are the edges where the wear has torn some print/art away. Overall jacket is VG+. Record is VG+, with some faint surface scuffs that don't affect play. Vinyl could use a light dusting. Inner sleeve is a gray "The Atlantic Group" sleeve. I don't grade inner sleeves; I just play it safe and call them all worn. Greatest Hits Volume 2 - 1979 - Atlantic SD 16009 - Gatefold jacket has edge-wear, scuffing, small creases, and some dog-ears. Overall jacket is VG. Record is VG (PLAY TESTED), with some surface scratches that don't affect play. Record could use a light dusting. Inner sleeve is a simple art sleeve made for this album. I don't grade inner sleeves; I just play it safe and call them all worn. See photos of these details. We use Goldmine® visual grading, which breaks down like this (please do read through this record grading if you are not familiar with it): M (mint) Record is new, shiny, never played. NM (near mint) Record is like new, probably played a few times, but it doesn't effects on the quality of a sound. EX (excellent) Record in great shape, may have light marks, played more than a few times but low in surface noise or no surface noise. VG+ (very good plus) Record has been played more times, it has more marks and surface noise, it doesn't skip. VG (very good) Record has been played many times, may be more surface noise, but it shouldn't skip while playing. G (good) Record is in bad condition, this is worth only for archive items - just to have that until you find better. P (poor) Record is a mess and probably will skip (Goldmine doesn't actually offer a "poor" rating but this is how we would describe POOR). REGARDING DUST - IF YOU ASK 5 DIFFERENT RECORD COLLECTORS THEIR PREFERRED WAY TO REMOVE DUST YOU WILL GET 5 DIFFERENT ANSWERS AND EACH MIGHT BE OFFENDED BY THE OTHER COLLECTORS METHOD OF REMOVING DUST. SO WHEN I SEE DUST ON A VINYL I SELL IT AS IS BUT I TRY TO LET YOU KNOW IN THE LISTING IF YOUR VINYL NEEDS A LIGHT OR HEAVY DUSTING. WHEN I SHIP RECORDS I SHIP THEM ON TOP OF THE JACKET, NOT INSIDE. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THIS IS THE COMMON AND PREFERRED WAY TO SHIP A RECORD. THIS KEEPS IT FROM CUTTING THROUGH THE CLOSED SIDES OF THE JACKET DURING SHIPPING. I SHIP IN CARDBOARD RECORD BOXES AND I USE BUBBLE WRAP TO ENSURE YOUR ITEM ARRIVES SAFELY. |
