Hi and thank you for checking out my auction!
Up for auction I have an original Depeche Mode "four squares" long sleeved t-shirt circa 1988. First I'd like to let you know this isn't some modern, knock off reproduction. This is shirt is 100% genuine, authentic. Here's a little bit of the story behind this shirt... So many, many, MANY years ago there was a mail order company called "Burning Airlines", I believe they are still up and running today. Anywho, Burning Airlines was a great resource back in the day for buying music memorabilia...and one of the only I knew of where you could find licensed merchandise for bands like Depeche Mode (my favorite band at the time), The Cure (2nd fave) and New Order (3rd fave) lol. Well, one particular catalog of Burning Airlines I received in the mail (and I think this was in 1989 or 1990) I found they had this shirt for sale during my usual hunting for Depeche Mode stuff. Highlighter in hand, and unsure I could believe what I was reading, they had a a Depeche Mode "four square long sleeve " for sale! It came in one size, large. Naturally, I ordered it immediately. Sadly, where I lived there wasn't much use for long sleeved shirts - it was always pretty much just humid and hot/warm all the time. I know I wore it once, MAYBE twice and that was it. It was too hot to wear and, as it turned out, too big for me at the time. It lived in my closet for awhile before retiring to a plastic bin, which is where it's been since. It's been sealed up in my home in a plastic bin for a very long time and now it's time to find it a good home where it will be worn and loved.

The shirt is in excellent condition. It is still very black and the graphic is perfect. The shirt is 20" pit to pit and 22 1/2" from collar to bottom hem. The fabric is still very thick, not thin at all! There is still a whole lot of life left in this shirt - and just in time for fall/winter! There are no holes, tears, rips or stains. This is a rare and great find of this iconic image from Depeche Mode (who is still my favorite band to this day).

If you have any questions about the shirt, or would like more pictures, please feel free to message me. The shirt will be shipped domestically via Priority Mail with tracking and insurance; or internationally using the eBay Global Shipping Program. Shipping costs will be calculated by the buyers location. I am offering local pick-up if you are in the Austin area. Again, if you have any questions about the shirt or the shipping, please send me a message BEFORE you bid. Thanks again for checking out my auction!

I'll be posting other Cure items in the up-coming weeks. I will also be listing items by other artists such as Depeche Mode and Nitzer Ebb...I think there's some Morrissey and Siouxsie & The Banshees stuff mixed in with everything too.... amongst others. If you have any questions about what I have available, or would like a copy of a list of what is going to be up for auction soon, feel free to contact me.
