This came out of a collection of early jazz, blues and hillbilly 78s collection - the collector also had several reel to reel players and a handful of commercial releases (please see my other listings for those)
I have never graded 78s before, and I don't have a way of playing them, so I am downgrading them as much as possible. This particular record (Coleman Hawkins) is in really strong shape - the label is clean and bright, and the record itself is clean without the typical rough handling and scratches you normally find on most 78s - thus the VG rating on this one (though I could have easily rated it VG+ I think).
