Vinyl: Morrissey Ringleader and Under The Influence MINT Unplayed Vinyl LPs The Smiths

The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home. I accept returns and offer a full refund if you are not happy with your purchase.

Morrissey - 'Under The Influence' and 'Ringleader Of The Tormentors' Vinyl LPs - 2003/2006

Morrissey vinyl LPs are becoming harder to get hold of in collectable condition, as copies in good condition are increasingly bought up by Morrissey and Smiths collectors. This auction is for two such LPs which are each unplayed and in terrific condition as they have both been carefully stored since having been bought new by myself. The condition of 'Under The Influence' in particular is such that it appears throughout as if having been bought new from a shop today. The first of these, 'Under The Influence', is not strictly a Morrissey LP as it contains no Morrissey tracks, but rather an interesting compilation of tracks chosen by Morrissey himself by artists who have influenced his music. The playlist makes for fascinating listening, and there are many surprise choices in there. This is a double LP and is very difficult to find on vinyl, suggesting that it was not pressed in high numbers. Of particular interest to collectors is the Morrissey sleeve artwork in which he is photographed in front of 'The Grave Maurice' from the same session that yielded the sleeve artwork for the 'Sunny' single. The second LP is 'Ringleader Of The Tormentors', a true Morrissey studio album released in 2006. Again, this is difficult to get hold of as a vinyl release with the CD format being produced in far higher numbers. It is lavishly packaged in a gatefold sleeve with a different inner photograph and a monogrammed inner sleeve.

Both records for 'Under The Influence' are in mint condition, having been carefully stored and never played. The outer sleeve is in near mint condition, with only the very mildest of corner 'rubbing' in a few places which is barely visible. There is no writing or damage anywhere on the sleeve and the edges/spine are sharp and unworn. In the case of 'Ringleader Of The Tormentors', the record is in near mint condition, with just the lightest of 'hairline' surface marks on the vinyl which are only visible if held to the light. The blue monogrammed inner sleeve is also in near mint condition with no splits or creases. The gatefold outer sleeve is in strong excellent condition, having only very mild wear at the corners and a few regions where very mild creases are visible if held to the light; but overall the impressive outer sleeve appears flat, unworn and very presentable.
