A truly remarkable piece of Rock and Roll history right here. David Bowie's "Let's Dance" Album signed by the entire band just before the launch of the "Serious Moonlight Tour" in 1983.

I was working for the catering service in Texas at the time and kinda got to know some of the guys while they were in rehearsal. Well, when the LP's arrived in boxes the band members sat around one afternoon and signed them. Couldn't have been a hundred or two, tops. And, yes I "took" one.

Just a few days later, Stevie Ray Vaughan quit, or got fired, or whatever. He left. So the window when it was even possible for all these signatures to be on the LP was very narrow indeed. Look up "Serious Moonlight Tour" on Wikipedia for the story.

Signatures include: Carlos Alomar, Tony Thompson, Carmine Rojas, Frank Simms, George Simms, Lenny Pickett, Dave LeBolt, Steve Elson, Stan Harrison, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and of course David Bowie, who threw in the year (83) like he always did, and a "Best Wishes" to boot! The missing signature was Earl Slick who replaced Vaughan on the tour. He hadn't arrived yet, making the LP even more valuable. Nuts.

Record cover is in VG+ shape, couple minor stains, nothing crazy. LP is mint, first pressing (obviously). Check photos carefully for exact condition. Any questions just ask, be glad to help. I realize this is a high dollar auction and want to make sure everything is smooth.

Winner will receive some extra stuff like the tour program (signed too I believe), TIME mag. with Bowie on the cover, Pro live photo, and whatever else I can find.

US auction only please. 7 day return if you want to check the signatures out - but I was standing there watching them sign it so......

Best of luck!
