Vinyl: Count Basie Orchestra-Basic Basie-VERY RARE TEST PRESSING-MPS 15264 ARCHIVE M-
Count Basie Orchestra-Basic Basie-VERY RARE WHITE LABEL TEST PRESSING FROM THE MPS STUDIOS IN GERMANY-FIRST PRESSING MPS 15264. Very rarely does a record rise to the level of "once in a lifetime opportunity" but for these six MPS test pressings I'm listing this week I think it certainly applies. Only five test pressings were done on any MPS LP released. These test pressings were acquired directly from the MPS archives in Germany in STUNNING UNPLAYED CONDITION AND REMAIN SO TODAY. The owner of MPS threw in free these gatefold covers when he sent the LPs to me though test pressings are never produced with covers...always coming in plain white covers. The gatefold covers are indeed in MINT- condition-PERFECT...by the way. So the numbers on the covers do not match the actual number on the LP. These LPs are German First Pressings! From my private collection in a smoke free environment. Satisfaction guaranteed. Please email with any questions. Fantastic music!

Sealed/Mint-Factory sealed like you would buy new in a record shop.
Mint Minus(M-) Absolutely perfect in every way, few plays if any.
Near Mint (NM) Played more times than a Mint Minus LP. A nearly perfect record. Record shows no obvious signs of wear. Quite acceptable condition for most collectors.
Very Good Plus (VG+) - record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. May have slight signs of wear and slight scuffs and scratches but no skips. Might have slight cover damage.
Very Good (VG) - A record similar to VG+ where the defects are more pronounced. Surface noise and scratches will be evident, but will not overpower the music. Cover damage/wear.
Good (G) - A record that will play through without skipping, but has significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear.
Fair (F) - Grade between poor and good, obviously. Very heavy damage, possible skips, though the record should still play. An LP of interest only if an LP is very rare.
Poor (P) - A record with heavy damage, probably will skip, and is the worst grade.
