Here is a really cool and rare promotional floppy disc for Megadeth called Welcome to Arizona! I have no idea what the content of this disc is. Megadeth were one of the VERY first bands to have a website and this is a promotional tool for that. I worked in retail back in 94 when this was sent out, but I really don't remember much about it.
You can see by the back of the pouch that is was removed from something else, and the print of that is still visible in the back of the pouch You can faintly make out a map which was evidently tied into the whole 'Arizona' theme which their original site was called. The dark patch on the back of the pouch is not water damage or anything like that. Just the adhesive and printing from whatever it was torn off of. But everything I know is on the labels of the disc and pouch as shown here. Not too many of these floating around and never with the pouch like this or the contest part.
So, if you are harcore MegaDave, you better grab this!!
The disc is in excellent condition. It's just been in storage since I got it almost 25 years ago. I have never used it on a computer or anything. So I can't vouch for any content as far as that is concerned. But it's a really cool promo item from the pioneering days of the internet!
