Here is a 1968 unrestored signed Hour Glass poster. Comes framed 24x18. condition is excellent. one small 1/4 inch tear on outer edge. this poster was designed by Michael McDonald who later played in the Doobie Brothers. The last living member of the Hour Glass (Paul Hornsby) signed this for me at the Big House in Macon Ga. Paul told me some great details about this show that I will pass on to the new owner of this item. THIS IS EXTEMELY RARE. I have seen only one other poster of this print. Paul verified for me that Michael McDonald created this poster. A smaller poster was created for this show by a different artist . there is a photo with the other poster in this add . YOU are ONLY BIDDING ON THE LARGER POSTER DESIGNED BY MIichael McDonald. the smaller poster is listed separately on Ebay This poster hung in my allman brothers band museum for many years. I love the Hour Glass and so did Bill Graham. Even in 1971 Bill Graham would reference the Hour Glass in the Fillmore East progams when the Allman brothers were in the house. This poster is dayglow geen-yellow and reddish -orange. there were 8 bands at the Keil Auditorium on August 9th 1968. Jan Joplin with big brother , randy california and his band spirit, iron butterfly, touch , ford theater and others played....... Castaways was the lighting co.... The Keil was the venue and "ford theater" was a rock band. very few concerts had posters made by two different artists. I searched for this poster for 20 years. you may never see this poster for sale again. please bid HiGH. I have mixed feelings about letting this go. everyone who visited my museum loved the almost flouresent colors of this poster. I loved telling the visitors of my ABB museum that Michael McDonald was the artist/designer. out of dougs allman cave ships to lower 48 states only. thank you Paul for signing this poster for me. This is the only poster that Paul ever signed. Paul played guitar and keyboards while in the Hour Glass. so..... some of that organ sound on the Hour Glass records is Paul and not Gregg Allman. Paul is a great guy and went on to produce the first 6 marshall tucker albums.... cant you see! thank you doug mckee an Allman Brother wanabee. pictures of me and Paul Hornsby do not convey.
