In 2006 Doors Engineer/Producer Bruce Botnick was given the task of refreshing and remixing The Doors 6 Classic Studio albums. The box set was titled, 'Perception'. Not only is the remix in high-resolution Stereo but in 5.1 "Surround" as well. The results were amazing. Details that were previously buried in the background were suddenly popping out everywhere in the music (especially apparent on the 1st and 2nd albums) To my ears, the song 'The End' has never sounded so radically different and dramatically powerful as it does on this edition. There is also a lot of bonus material on the DVD-A discs which include, alternate takes, rehearsals, and videos.
It is important to remember that the DVD-Audio discs (the ones containing the audio in 24/96 high resolution) must be played on a dedicated DVD-Audio player to get the maximum effect.
Condition: All 6 Titles are in Excellent to Near Mint condition. This includes the tri-fold digipaks, booklets, CDs, and DVD-Audio discs.
