CD: David Bowie 'Five Years' 1969-1973 Box Set 12 CDs GOLD DISCS Official DBX 1 2015

This is the OFFICIAL version of this set, not the Chinese forgery that is often sold. This set has gold discs, the Chinese bootleg has silver discs. If you want the official set, then you need to ensure that they are gold discs (like this one!).

The box is in 'good' to 'very good' condition with some blemishes (which I have photographed). Please study these carefully so that you know exactly what you're bidding on. I pride myself on my excellent feedback, which has been achieved by honestly describing my items. I like to be happy when I buy and I want you to be happy too!

I inspected the CDs today. All the covers are in 'as new' condition, as are the various inserts. The CDs very carefully reproduce the original UK vinyl pressings. All the CDs are in Japanese-style round-ended plastic sleeves. The various original UK inner bags have been reproduced with the shape and wording as they would have been when originally released. The RCA label designs and colours are also used, though adapted - see photos. The original texture of the sleeve of 'The Man Who Sold The World' is also reproduced, as is the original fan club flyer that accompanied the first pressing of 'Aladin Sane'. Where there were originally gatefold sleeves, they're reproduced here. It's all just so nicely done.

All the CDs are blemish free except:

1 st CD - 'David Bowie ' aka 'Space Oddity' there is a mark/scratch to one area of the CD. It is not deep, it's essentially superficial as I could only see it under good light.

'Hunky Dory' - there is a kind of 'foxing' overall to the disc, and one area in particular. It does play through and it's never been handled before, so I'm guessing it's been like that since manufacture. There are no visible scratches. If viewed on 'normal' light, the disc looks blemish free - in just being really 'picky' with my description.

Please study the photographs for full details - taken in higher resolution, so they can be enlarged. I could not see any other issues with the other CDs when studied under strong light from various angles (except of course for the 2 discs noted above).

The book is in mint- condition.

The bottom of the outer box has storage/standing wear - please see photo.

The right hand side to the top of the outer aspect of the inner box has a 'slit' that looks like it's been 'coloured in' with a marker (the pen mark is more obvious on the box seam). Again, please study the photos.
