DAVID BOWIE STATION TO STATION ORIGINAL 1976 RED LABEL TAIWAN PRESSING. This is an ultra rare TAIWAN RED LABEL pressing of David Bowie`s masterpiece from1976, Station to Station. Featuring his final character The Thin White Duke. Look at it . This is a very IMPRESSIVE looking record. It also looks very cool indeed. Look at those labels. Totally BEAUTIFUL . Look how sharp that silver typeset looks on that red background. Look how sharp that red label looks against the black of the vinyl . THIS IS A GORGEOUS THING. I just test played this gem and the great new is this. I COULDN`T BELIEVE MY EARS. I tested it against my US and UK pressing and its louder than both of them. Noticibly louder. I love that. I have a test pressing of The Velvet Underground and Nico that is a lot louder than my stock copy. Its strange how some pressings do this, but they just do. Maybe its down to the numbers. They press millions of UK and USA Bowie LPs. I can count on one hand how many of these I have seen in my lifetime . This is the best pressing I have ever heard. If you double click the pictures you will see a very unsightly mark on the vinyl. It plays through this with no problem at all ,not a single click. It plays perfectly 10 out of 10 all the way. Look at those labels only a couple of spindle marks on either side. This record has not been played much at all .The sleeve is in lovely condition . These Taiwan sleeves are so unusual, you cant even put the record inside the sleeve because the sleeve is completely sealed in cellophane . They are flimsy and weird but I love them for that and they are also very, very rare ! Take my word for it. After 38 years of collecting I can seriously count on one hand how many of these rare pressings I have seen. I think these are going to be really big in the future. Once everyone sees and knows how good they are their popularity among collectors will grow. I think its the vinyl these are very heavy and just very well made . You know the way those Dynaflex pressings of the early 70s sound noticeably poor I think that was down to the price of oil going through the roof so it was used less in the manufacturing of vinyl. This is just a lovely loud strong and ritch and warm sounding pressing that I can not fault. Also it still has that like new sheen to it. It is simply my own opinion but I think this album gets overlooked. Whenever you see of hear anyone on TV or Radio talking about Bowie its always about Hunky Dory or Ziggy Stardust or Diamond Dogs. Rarely does this LP get any attention and that is just wrong. IT IS A MASTERPIECE. IF YOU DONT AGREE WITH THAT YOU HAVE NEVER HEARD. STAY ! THAT IS GENIUS. This LP also contains the coolest single I have ever heard, GOLDEN YEARS. I saw an interview with Bowie years ago and the interviewer to my disbelief, asked Bowie a question I myself have wanted to ask him . He said David your voice sounds different on every LP, even each track of each LP you sound different ....What is the one song of them all that is the real David Bowie ? Bowie replied "my voice is like an artists palette, full of different colours, I pick which colour will suit which song, so what does David Bowie sound like..... Wild is the wind that is David Bowie`s voice". A great question, and a better answer. Wild is the wind is a fantastic way to close this magnificent LP. BOWIE is a genius. on the sound of this LP and it plays p erfectly through its entirety. MAGNIFICENT all the way. This is seriously rare pressing of a classic David Bowie LP.
