Sonic Youth - Dirty - ORANGE TRAY LONGBOX CD - Original 1992 DGC USA Release
Comments: I have owned this since it was newly issued. The CD jewel case has the harder to find original orange translucent tray which reveals a naughty photo underneath.
Longbox Condition: The Longbox is in VG+ condition. It actually looks quite good but as you may have noticed, the orange color on the front has faded some from being on display for 11 or 12 years. Please see the photos for the most complete view of condition because I probably can't describe everything in words. General wear is fairly light. The front and back look nice for the most part and the box has not been flattened. There is a short, light crease and a small dent along the left edge on the front in the top portion. There is some very light edge and corner wear. There are four sets of relatively unobtrusive entry/exit pinholes located near the corners from spending time on a wall (see my generic explanation below). The longbox was neatly opened at the bottom and the flaps are attached. The top flaps are still sealed. This longbox has never been flattened and it retains its original 3-D form.
CD Condition: The CD is in Excellent condition with a few light marks around the edge. The front booklet and special tray card are near mint. The jewel case with the special orange tray is wholly intact with some handling/storage scuffs.
Pin Holes Comment: Compared to some of the other flaws a longbox might have (crushed, crumpled, torn, banged up, flapless, flattened), I think pinholes are pretty minor as far as imperfections go. I only make a point of conspicuously mentioning them so you won't be surprised.

Generic Explanation Of My Longbox History and Pinholes:
Here's the deal. When CDs were a new thing looking to be big enough to be seen amongst the LPs and longboxes were in fashion, I always carefully removed the CDs and put the longboxes in a safe place. They were part of the album's packaging for crying out loud! I couldn't throw them in the trash anymore than I could throw an LP cover in the trash. Not wanting to flatten the things out, they remained in their 3-dimensional state in box after box that I lugged around through many changes in houses over nearly 25 years.
In 2010 I decided that I had had enough of moving. I also had a large space that needed decorated with a music theme. The longboxes came out of storage and I carefully hung them on my soft walls with long ball-tipped straight pins. Now I'm ready to allow some of the longboxes to find new homes. There will be small pinholes.
Don't worry about shipping. I won't flatten them out for convenience. They will be shipped in a box large enough to allow retention of 3-D form with some cushioning to ensure safe travels.

If appropriate I will add insurance coverage. Sometimes I will add signature tracking (USA) when your item is shipped. Signature tracking ensures that the postal service doesn't leave your valuable item unattended on your doorstep out in the sun or rain - it has to be handed over face to face. If you order something rare and/or worth a bit, be prepared to have to accept delivery in person.

When multiple items are shipped together, I can almost always give you a better deal on the shipping cost compared to the individual shipping costs. I promise to give you the best rate possible based on the items purchased and the shipping method required.

When ready to commit to buying, request a total from me from your cart and I'll send an invoice as soon as I can. Since I'm not a computer and I do other things like sleep and take the dogs for walks, you might not receive an immediate response, but I will get back to you as soon as possible.
