(20) Bob Dylan cassette tapes live recordings ex Ken Douglas no reserve
An assortment of cassette tape recordings of various Bob Dylan performances.
20 tapes pulled (almost) at random from the hundreds of tapes which are here; I say "almost", because this group contains a pair which were best kept together, as "Part 1" / "Part 2".

My father was a life long Dylan collector, and cultivated an acquaintance with Ken Douglas, of the original "Great White Wonder" bootleg recordings. While I am confident all of these tapes passed through Ken's hands, en route to my father, (I'm pulling them directly out of several boxes with a verified return address, from the time they were transferred, complete with personal correspondence)... I'm not sure which tapes he actually "produced", and which were just a part of his own collection, sourced from others.

I have previewed only brief snippets of a few random tapes; They are playable, but the quality varies, as would be expected for "bootleg" recordings. Some include periods of crowd noise and instrument tuning, onstage banter. Some of the tapes are packaged with the Ken Douglas "Toasted" label, some have only factory paper inserts, hand annotated (or old school manual typewriter notations, in some cases), with set list / song titles, but I can't speak to their accuracy. Dylan tapes in this grouping range from, a N.Y. 1974 show, various 1980's venues, the aforementioned pair of tapes labeled "Ten of Swords", (parts 1 and 2), believed to be alternate takes, and some mystery tapes, with cryptic titles, like "Borderline", "Ampex Masterpieces", "Pecos Blues", and "The Bear", which may have been recorded at Gerdes Folk City?

I make no claim that there is any previously "undiscovered" material here, but it seems reasonable that some of the material could be characterized as not commonly or readily available, through ordinary commercial sources. At little more than a dollar and a half each, It seems a small gamble for an estimated 30 +/- hours of material to explore.

The rubber stamps pictured came directly from Mr. Douglas, but are NOT part of this sale; They are shown merely to offer additional support for the claim of the tapes' origins; A few of the many artifacts which passed through that channel, to arrive here.
