I recently purchased these items from a music store estate in Orlando (Southern Music), at 30 S. Orange Ave which went out of business in the early 90's. The owner kept a lot of the promos for his collection, which he then sold. And this is what I found.
In 1974, Warner Bros sent out the KISS debut album to radio stations and record stores and inside was their promo poster, to promote the new band. Many radio stations threw away the warner bro's mailer and envelope, that's why they are so rare and unheard of today.
For its age of over 45 yrs, I am grading the poster as excellent to like new condition. There is a very light small staple mark in the upper left hand corner of the poster, which hardly goes through the paper. The ink on the poster looks very clean and bright after all these years and the corners are sharp. The back side of the poster shows some age discoloration, which is to be expected, if it was sitting on a shelf under a light. There are no other obstructions rips, ink, tape, etc. It does not look like this poster was ever hung up. The poster is folded and will ship folded. (See Photos)
The envelope also has a staple mark probably the same one. There is writing of KISS in pencil on the back, but there are no other obstructions.(See Photos)
I have been collecting KISS merchandise for over 40 yrs and have never come across this envelope and poster together as a set, just like it was sent out. In my opinion, this is a once in a lifetime find.

Early kiss merchandise from the 70's, are always in demand and going to skyrocket in value. I read one collector say, that the mailer could fetch around $10,000, and this is the next best thing. They will be finishing their final tour soon.
