RCA CCS-16
2-Track Stereo for "In-Line" heads
7 1/2 ips; 7-inch reel; includes notes insert
Please note: for proper balances on playback, all 2-track tapes must be played on a 2-track machine. Playback on a 4-track machine will not give even weight to the channels and may not be satisfactory.
Recorded in Symphony Hall, Boston
December 14, 1955
John Pfeiffer, producer
John Crawford, engineer (probably)
The first reference I have found to this 2-track tape comes in the July 1957 RCA Tape Catalog. These recordings were originally issued in mono only on LP in 1956 - they did not appear in stereo on LP until the issue on RCA's budget Victrola line around 1964.
The tape is in excellent condition; its box shows only very minor signs of wear (see photo including tiny edge split on spine) expected from careful use (for 50+ years!)

Notes regarding shipping:
All shipping fees INCLUDE insurance.
If you win more than one item from this auction, please wait for me to send you an invoice with individualized calculation of discounted shipping fee for a parcel including multiple tapes. The cost to ship each additional tape reel in the same parcel is $1.00 in the U.S. United States Postal Service shipping fees for foreign parcels have recently increased, so for foreign shipments I will check the weight of each parcel which includes multiple items individually to find the correct charge. The additional shipping cost for each extra reel to a foreign country will be no more than $7.00 ($5.00 if shipping to Canada).
Overseas buyers are responsible for the payment of any and all customs fees which may apply to shipments from Polyphonyclassics.
