If there was ever a more soulful pair than Aretha Franklin and Curtis Mayfield, combining other-worldly talent with R&B chops that define the term, can't think of who it would be.
Curtis wrote the songs and produced the soundtrack for the not-very-memorable 1976 film of the same name. When it came time to record the soundtrack album, the actors' voices heard in the film were re-recorded by Lady Soul. Aretha's version of "Something He Can Feel," which reached #1 on Billboard's Hot Soul Singles chart, will make you forget En Vogue's (and I've got no quarrel with theirs!)
Vinyl is near-flawless with the lightest paper scuff on one side which you can (barely) see if you hold it up to a very bright light and tilt it. Original dust jacket. Jacket in mostly good condition with a little bit of wear, a couple of very small stains near top of back. Photos are accurate and revealing.
