Poster: 1967 Chocolate George Wake Hells Angels Grateful Dead Concert Poster w/ photos!

We are pleased to be able to offer this incredibly scarce, Grateful Dead/ Hells Angels item for sale.

This collectible was created to quickly get the word out about a wake for Chocolate George Hendricks. Chocolate George was a beloved figure in the Haight and a highly regarded Hells Angel. He was killed in an accident on Haight Street on August 24th.

The longtime association between the Hell’s Angels and the Grateful Dead goes back to the band's earliest day. The well-known Motorcycle club staged several events over the years that featured the Dead. The posters and handbills from these occurrences are some of the most desirable and valuable paper Grateful Dead advertisements ever created.

This completely original and piece is a real gem; very few of these have survived.
