78 rpm: HANK WILLIAMS 'VE BEEN DOWN THAT ROAD BEFORE SIGNED AUTOGRAPH 78 RPM

You are bidding on HANK WILLIAMS I DREAMED ABOUT MAMA LAST NIGHT / I'VE BEEN DOWN THAT ROAD BEFORE This is a 78 RPM on MGM 11017 Canadian issue. Visually shellac still has some gloss with light scratches and light scuff marks. Play graded sound is loud but there is some light background surface noise. Label on Side B is signed "Wish you were with me ray Buddy Hank Williams How and where was this Hank signature obtained ? I picked up 20 of these 78's all signed to Ray from the daughter of an elderly gentlemen who was a big fan of Hank Williams ( two have already sold ) When I asked her if her father personally knew Hank Williams , she said no. He picked these up from an avid Hank Williams collector. In doing some research , the only info I found out about Ray is that it could possibly be Ray Price who was a friend and roommate of Hank back in the early 50's when these recordings were issued. I cannot confirm that the Ray on the label refers to Ray Price and that the Hank Williams signature is authentic. The only comment I can make it is that I find it a strange coincidence that all 20 signed copies that I obtained all have personal messages to Ray .
