ENTIRE NEW & USED OUT-OF-PRINT MUSIC CD BUSINESS INVENTORY + $1 MOVING TRUCK!
My integrity level is unassailable. I had years and years of 100% positive feedback on Amazon. I'm obsessive about noting the condition of everything and, if anything, over-documented -- it's all in the spreadsheet. I wrangled with ethically-challenged sellers in order to provide a buffer between such people/organizations and my buyers, many of whom were loyal repeat customers. Thus, everything is being sold As Is. If something is TRULY missing that is listed and its original cost was under $10, I'll refund you the full amount. I know none of the large-dollar items are missing, but if you convince me that something really never arrived and its original purchase price to me was over $20, I will refund a pro-rated amount commensurate with the ratio between what you paid for the collection and the $91K I put into amassing it. Unless you're looking for an opportunity to go to battle with someone, you will not be disappointed by this purchase if you get it for anything under $45,000, because you'll be getting it for 50-cents on the dollar, and you'll have a moving truck to use in whatever manner floats your boat.
The starting bid is $15,000, which represents approximately 17% of the $91,013.83 total of original-purchase-prices for this inventory of 8600+ mostly out-of-print new and used music compact discs, several toys, plus some DVD movies and books -- all from a longstanding successful online sole proprietorship selling previously on Amazon and Half.com between 2001 and 2020. Photos demonstrate how these CDs (and DVDs) are currently being stored in (mostly Sterilite) snap-top waterproof plastic containers inside a climate-controlled environment. Books, toys, and larger items like box sets are stored in sturdy cardboard boxes.
THIS COLLECTION IS ONLY FOR SALE IN THE CONTIGUOUS 48 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
[I regret that I am unable to provide the comprehensive spreadsheet listing every CD in this collection. In my previous listing, I indicated that any prospective bidder could contact me for a complete Excel spreadsheet detailing every single item in this auction; however, on 11/10/21, I learned that there is no way for me to do that based on the level of information and means of communicating eBay permits sellers to share with potential buyers. The spreadsheet has nearly 12,000 lines of information and thus cannot be photographed in any meaningful way to share as photos. The spreadsheet will be provided to the winning bidder as soon as the sale is closed; it includes (a) the title of each item, (b) condition of each item as listed on Amazon, (c) description backing up condition cited in the case of all used items, (d) original purchase source of almost all items, (e) ASIN where applicable, (f) UPC/EAN for almost all items, (g) original purchase price paid for each item, and (h) most-recent listed for-sale price on Amazon for each item.]
The majority of CDs are single copies of compact disc releases, because every CD and group of CDs was purchased as part of a deliberate business strategy in pursuit of sustaining income production, but some titles have multiple copies (for one example, at one time I had over 500 copies of a particular now-rare version of a Carpenters CD, but now that's down to 70 new and used -- probably the largest of any particular title). By my count, approximately 25% of the CDs are brand new/sealed, with at least 2/3 of those new copies being non-cut-outs. eBay only offers a single option for indicating the condition of a lot of similar items, so I chose the lowest category, Acceptable; only a small percentage are only in Acceptable condition. Over half the used CDs are in Like-New/Mint, Excellent/Near-Mint or Very Good condition; the remainder are mostly in Good condition.
These are NOT purchased lots of random CDs that no one wants. Many are cut-outs, but in the vast number of cases, they were only purchased by me AFTER the CD was long out-of-print, which made even cut-outs sought after. This is a lot of CDs already structured to produce income, as it did for me until I moved from northwestern Pennsylvania in November 2020. I'm 68 now, though, and am ready to pass the opportunity along to someone else. I do NOT expect to turn this over to the ultimate buyer for anything CLOSE to the $86K I paid for all this, but I'm selling this in the manner I am because I would like to provide a cottage-business opportunity to another enterprising individual. If this auction doesn't bear fruit, I will simply donate the entire collection to Goodwill for a full $91K tax write-off (and know it has ended up in worthy hands, because Goodwill does a good job selling used CDs in an integritous manner).

All items will be shipped and delivered in person inside the bonus item that is also included in this eBay sale: a working 2007 GMC Savana G3500 box truck (former Penske moving vehicle) with currently-approximately 150K miles on it; $1 of your final bid price will be directed to pay for this truck. Winner of this auction will receive truck and signed Pennsylvania title upon delivery of entire CD/DVD/book/toys inventory contained within. The truck will be transferred as is but is in driving condition. It is currently insured under a commercial auto policy in Texas which will end upon transfer of title and has a Texas inspection that is good until April 2022. It does leak some water in the front of the box when it rains (repairable), but that's not an inspection issue. The air conditioning does not work in the cabin, but, again, that is not an inspection issue, and the air-circulation fan works properly, so the heater is great. I've been informed that this truck is a 'dually,' with double wheels/tires on the back end. I have added four photos of it.
All shipping, handling, fuel and delivery costs are included as part of the bid price. I will load the truck, and I will even help you unload it if you desire, as long as you have at least 3 other people including yourself present to walk the plastic containers to your storage location. No later than 3 days after full payment has cleared my account, you and I will arrange for a mutually-convenient delivery date within the subsequent 2 weeks. If buyer refuses receipt upon delivery, before any refund is processed a minimum $10,000 restocking/relisting fee will be deducted to cover all costs of such inconvenience, including all costs associated with the attempted delivery and return to my location, which will include fuel, meals, lodging, rental car contract loss, $150/hour time-loss reimbursement and wear-and-tear on the truck to and from your destination.
[The typical after-expenses profit for the items I purchased and sold over two decades was in the neighborhood of 35% over purchase price. With attention to accurate listings and excellent follow-up customer service, I see no reason why this same pattern couldn't be continued by the purchaser of this collection -- and that would indicate 35% above what I paid for the collection, so a purchase price anything lower than $91K would only significantly increase that profit potential.]
