Leonard Bernstein: On The Town
London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas
Deutsche Grammophon — 437 516-5 — (c)1993
Digital Compact Cassette, still sealed in its original shrinkwrap, never opened or played. (Full disclosure; the shrinkwrap has split a bit at one corner, so it's not in perfectly sealed condition, but the wrapper is otherwise intact.)
Spring cleaning is around the corner, so it seems as good a time as any to thin out the collection a bit by selling off some duplicates, and a few titles I'm no longer interested in keeping just because they're not really my style of music and I'll probably never actually get around to opening them and listening to them anyway. :-)
If you're familiar with the DCC format, you already know how difficult it can be to come by these, especially here in the USA where the format never really got a lot of traction and was only on the market for a few years before being discontinued.
If you're not familiar with the DCC format, then take note:
THIS CANNOT BE PLAYED IN A STANDARD CASSETTE PLAYER!
This type of tape will only work in a DCC (Digital Compact Cassette) deck. If you're not sure if your cassette deck can play DCCs... well, that means it probably can't, because if you had a DCC deck, you'd almost certainly know it, considering how uncommon and expensive they were (and still are!). :-D
