BOLSHOI THEATER 175TH ANNIVERSARY program 1951 great artists!

Scarce jumbo format souvenir program March 28, 1951 celebrating the 175th anniversary of the Bolshoi Theatre company. 7 page program with gold metallic printing and an embossed cameo of Lenin and Stalin at the top. 9.5" x 12.5" closed.

Artists for the concert included: Alexandrov, Tsarev, S. Preobrazhenskaya, Nebolsin, Laptev, Oborin, Pyuvi, Avesson-Vestre, Guselinkova, Stuchevsky, Izmalova, Baraev, Stasounas, Melik-Pashaev, Bucentova, Imetbyev, Kondrashin, Tchabkini, Tzignadze, Fayer, Gasparyian, Nebolskin, Dinskaya, Sergeev, Michailov, Lemeshev, Lisitsian, Nelepp, Zlatogorova, Borisenko, Koltupin, Peregidov, Nevolsin, Maksakova, Ilanova, Kondratov, Kalinovsky, Matkovsky, Dilova, Kiltshevsky, Reizen, Biravsky, Lepeshinskaya, V. Preobrazhensky, Kozlovsky, Firsova and A. Pirogov.

The company was founded by Catherine the Great in 1776 but never had a structure built specifically for the theatre. This program despite some age toning and a center crease is extremely scarce.
